Jin-Su Song, consultant in infectious diseases and public health, has more than 15 years of professional, academic and research experiences on disease control program and public health in middle- and low-income countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining the GHDP, he has served in a variety of senior positions in governmental organization, bilateral aid agencies and the World Health Organization (WHO), responsible for supporting public health programs and functions with strategy formulation, project management and operation, and monitoring and evaluation. His work focuses on an integrated public health approach and effective healthcare delivery to consider both disease specific approaches based on the application of biomedical technologies and longer-term interventions along with addressing the underlying determinants of health.

Board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases at Seoul National University Hospital, he earned an M.D and M.Sc from Seoul National University, his master’s in public health from Harvard University, and Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene with distinction from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
