Jae Kyoun Kim is a physician working as a Global Health Consultant since 2012 with project engagements in organizations such as the World Health Organization, Korea International Cooperation Agency, various NGOs, consulting firms, and academia, on projects related to Global health, mainly on health system and policy, NCDs, mHealth and maternal and child health. Dr. Kim also has experience on health governance, e-health, human resource, HIV/AIDS, EPI, regulation system strengthening, clinical trials, health information and research, traditional medicine, nutrition, and health promotion. He currently leads a clinical research team at the Wonkwang University Hospital’s Clinical Trial Center.
Dr. Kim completed a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science & Ecological Engineering at Korea University and a Doctor of Korean Medicine degree at the Pusan National University. To pursue his deep interest in public health, he attended the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to complete a Master of Public Health degree, earned a Ph.D. in Public Health at Kyung Hee University, and is Certified in Public Health. He is fluent in Korean and English and has done various Korean/English book translations. He is based in Gwang Ju City, South Korea.
